  • IEEE I2MTC 2018 Special Session hosted by ITRC & IEEE IMS TPE

     

    2018 IEEE International Instrumentation & Measurement Technology Conference (I2MTC) will be held in Houston, TX, USA from May 14 to May 17, 2018. ITRC and IEEE IMS Taipei Section Chapter are going to host a special session -"Measurement in Industrial Applications - Intelligent Manufacturing System (IMS) using smart sensors, smart machinery and industrial internet of things. Welcome all of the experts and scholars in the field to join us at IEEE I2MTC 2018.

    Inauguration of ITRC New Director General, Dr. Yao-Joe Joseph Yang

     

    On February 2, 2017, National Applied Research Laboratories (NARLabs) formally installed the new Director General of Instrument Technology Research Center (ITRC), Dr. Yao-Joe Joseph Yang, Distinguished Professor of Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Taiwan University. Dr. Yeong-Her Wang, President of NARLabs hosted the installation ceremony and anticipated Dr. Yang continuing to lead ITRC to be important communication bridge for industry, academy and research institution.[more]

  • ITRC international collaborative research project result has been published in Best of Advanced Optical Materials issue.

     

    "Uniaxial-isotropic Metamaterials by Three-Dimensional Split-Ring Resonator", the research result on 3-D metamaterials of the international collaborative team between ITRC and RIKEN has been selected and published in a virtual Best of Advanced Optical Materials issue. National Yang-Ming University and Concordia Middle School Won the 1st Prize in the 9th "i-ONE NARLabs Instrument Technology Innovation Competition"

 

The 9th "i-ONE NARLabs Instrument Technology Innovation Competition", hosted by Instrument Technology Research Center (ITRC) of National Applied Research Laboratories (NARLabs) announced the award list today (October 1) after nearly two months of competition. National Yang-Ming University won the first prize in college & above group and Concordia Middle school won the first prize in high school group respectively.[more]

Instrument Technology Research Center has become Asia's only certification agency for 3D-printed medical devices

 

Instrument Technology Research Center (ITRC) of National Applied Research Laboratories (NARLabs) has become the world's first 3D-printed medical device certification agency to be recognized by the international authoritative product safety certification body, the UL Company. The core laboratory of Hsinchu Biomedical Science Park under the guidance of ITRC, has comprehensively planned and established R&D facilities and service platforms that conformed to international medical device regulations. They have successfully become the only certification agency for 3D-printed medical devices in Asia and effectively solve 90% of the certification process required before 3D-printed medical devices could go into the market and help manufacturers reduce at least 50% of the time and cost in getting approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for marketing.[more]
